This is "my" personal spice rack so it's not for sale.  I LOVE this thing!  I got it at a yard sale back in 2006 for $5 bucks!  I just wanted to share it with you and it's transformation and to make you just a tad jealous. ;)  We recently remodeled our kitchen, and changed the paint color, so I had to spiff up the spice rack.  So here are the pics.
Picture
This is the before, how it looked in 2006. Yes, the walls were school bus yellow.
Picture
The walls are now a sage-like green. The spice rack has been painted in Annie's Primer Red Chalk Paint with Paris Grey on the edges. Then a blend of clear and dark wax to finish.
Picture
This is how it looks, "loaded" up with all my spices!
Picture
Just a few close-ups of the detail. Love the look of the Paris Grey worn away just enough to show some of the Primer Red underneath.
Picture
Just a touch of the darker wax, to accent the piece.
Picture
I love how it turned out!
Picture
I love how the Primer Red picks up the reddish color of the new floor and especially the Paris Grey on the edge ties in with the floor.
Picture
Looking up. Love the Primer Red as an accent color to the green walls.
Picture
These last two pics are if you're nosy and want to know what kind of spices I have and do I really need a spice rack this size to accomodate them all. Yes I do.
Picture
Ok, last pic. If you looked at every last one, you should win something. But alas, no contest, just call yourself spicegirl or something, lol!

That's quite a shelf of spices.........I think I'm a deflated spice buyer. I get garlic, salt and pepper flakes. What else is there?
Oh yeah, cinnamon!

I love your "new" spice rack Ms. Norma. I think it might just hold one or two of your favorite spices! Hubby made me one years ago when we lived in Belgium, all of my Tupperware spice containers fit into it. Then when we got back to America and settled into our permanent place, the rack won't fit so I had to give it up to my daughter. :o( At least it can stay in the family. Enjoy yours!
